THE STORY BEHIND KAORI
KAORI, meaning scent or fragrance in Japanese, was founded by Linda Jones and inspired by a memorable trip to Kyoto during Japan’s celebrated cherry blossom season, known as sakura.
Surrounded by the delicate fragrance of blossom in the air, Linda experienced a moment she would never forget. Even now, the scent of cherry blossom transports her back to that unforgettable time in Japan.
Returning home to Mudeford on the Dorset coast, surrounded by the sea, the New Forest and wildflower meadows, Linda wanted to recreate the natural fragrances that shaped her everyday life. From salt-kissed coastal air to woodland paths and flowers in bloom, these scent memories became the heart of KAORI. For more than a year, Linda carefully researched and tested the finest vegan-friendly ingredients and fragrance blends, sourced high-quality diffuser reeds for the best possible scent throw, and selected robust, elegant bottles worthy of the KAORI name.
Every element was considered, refined and tested time and again to ensure each diffuser delivers exceptional quality, timeless design and a beautiful, lasting fragrance experience.
